About Me
My name is Mrs. Shadrick. This will be my 21st year as an elementary school teacher. In my 20 years experience, I have taught mostly second grade but have also job shared a kindergarten class. I'm very happy to be your child's teacher here, at Double Peak.
I'm a native to San Marcos. I went to San Marcos High School and then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a minor in Spanish at CSUSM. I'm thankful to be working in San Marcos School District.
I live with my husband Danny, and two children. Sarah is 16 and will be a junior at San Marcos High; she works hard in her classes and plays the flute for the Marching Band. Ryan will be in 8th grade here at Double Peak. He is very active and enjoys playing drums, playing basketball and riding his bike. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling, mountain biking, walking my dog, and camping. Mostly, my time is spent teaching and raising my two kids.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I think kids are great! They are creative, curious, and fun to be around. Watching my students learn and grow each year is rewarding. My goal for this new school year is to work with you and to help your child find his/her strengths and feel successful in school.
